Doctoring
Have realised, it's much harder to write on PhD days, and also much harder to think of ways that my PhD helps me to learn about mothering.
The main area would be, that occasionally come across information in my reading that applies to children.
I'm reading a book, at night in that small sliver of time between lying down in bed and falling asleep, which is about thirty seconds and when Laurie is napping, which is slightly longer.
Its called 'the child in the mirror' by.... I didn't actually start reading it for my PhD, but I'm learning about both mothering and doctoring from it.
It follows three years in the life of when he looks after his daughter with his wife Lizzie, as he writes a book about her cognitive development. There are some beautiful moments.
